Jim Finlayson Breaks Beer 2-Mile World Record
Canadian Jim Finlayson shatters Beer 2-Mile world record with a time of 11:39
Update on 9/15/2020: The Beer 2-Mile world record was broken by Chris Robertson in a time of 10:18.
The Beer 2-Mile is a daunting feat, to say the least. 8 beers and 8 laps, plus the additional ~18 meters to make it a full 2 miles. The same rules apply as the beer mile. If a competitor pukes, he must run an additional lap. Essentially, it is involves back-to-back beer miles, but with the added difficulty of holding down eight beers instead of four.
Jim Finlayson of Canada, the OG beer miler, set the world record on May 13, 2016 in Victoria, BC in a time of 11:39, which shattered the previous world record by a couple of minutes. He made it the full 8 beers and 8 laps without vomiting—though he vomited shortly after finishing. And he did it as a 43-year-old. Take a look at this beast of not only the beer mile, but now the beer two-mile.
