Canadian Corey Bellemore broke his own world record in the beer mile by one second last night, lowering the four laps, four beers standard from 4:34.35 to 4:33.6. The race was held at Kezar Stadium in San Francisco, California during halftime of a professional soccer match between the San Francisco Deltas and Jacksonville Armada.
Corey Bellemore, a 22-year-old from Windsor in Ontario, Canada has held his position atop the world beer mile leaderboard since the summer of 2016 when he became the first person to break the 4:40 barrier with a 4:39 time trial at a local track in Canada. The next day, he traveled to London to compete in the Beer Mile World Classic where he lowered the world record to 4:34.35 and caught attention from media outlets around the world.
